Frequently Asked Questions

+ How long does each zip line tour take?

Approximately 2 hours from start to finish. Each tour will depend on the number of people and pace of each group.

+ Is there bus parking available for large groups?

Sadly, bus parking is not available as we do not allow buses or large vans on our site. We strive to preserve the tranquility and beauty of our beautiful forests as well as respect the noise levels for our neighbors.

+ How many people can be in each tour group?

Tour groups consist of a maximum of eight participants and two guides. If you would like to book a larger group please call (360) 317-8434 to make arrangments!

+ If we are not participating, is it possible to watch the tour from the ground?

Yes! Well, most of it. The majority of our tour zips over paths that are easy to follow, but the last third of the tour will take the group out over a canyon where they will be out of sight. If ziplining isn't for you, a good way to get out of it is to volunteer as "group photographer" and follow the group on the ground through the tour.

+ Do you still run tours in the rain?

Yes! We zip in most weather conditions and will make every effort to complete your tour as scheduled. If there is lightning or high winds, we will need to suspend and potentially cancel your tour but we will not cancel due to rain. If your tour is cancelled due to weather, we are happy to offer you a rain check and reschedule you for another date that same season. Please note that we will not be able to offer a refund if you cancel due to rain.

+ How high off the ground will I be?

Between 15 and 120 feet; each individual zip line is different. Our tour is designed to slowly ease people into the experience. Each line will steadily get higher, longer and faster.

+ How many zip lines are included in the whole tour?

There are seven zip lines on the tour, plus three suspension bridges.

+ How safe is Pumpkin Ridge Zip Tour?

The construction and operation of our zip line course meets or surpasses the Association for Challenge Course Technology’s (ACCT) standards. Our course was designed and installed by Synergo; a Professional Vendor Member (PVM) of ACCT. Synergo also provides the training for our guides and completes our periodic course inspections. Daily inspections of the course and all equipment are done by the Pumpkin Ridge Zip Tour guides. If you'd like to learn more about our training and inspection processes, please feel free to give us a call to chat! We'd love to answer any of your questions!

+ What restrictions do you have around age/weight/health?

  • Participants must be 8 years or older.
  • Those ages 8-12 are welcome to zip line with a responsible adult on tour with them. Those 13-15 may zip with a responsible adult on site, though they don’t necessarily need to join us on tour.
  • Participants must weigh between 60 and 265 pounds.

The weight policy is for your safety and we are not able to make exceptions. If you fall outside of these weight limits, but made a reservation anyway, you will not be issued a refund.

We ask that everyone participating be in generally good health:

  • There is some walking involved between some lines and at the beginning and end of the tour.
  • Participants will be required to walk along a 90′ suspension bridge. To judge if you are able to comfortably cross the bridges, we ask that you are able to climb a steep staircase comfortably.
  • Participants must be able to hold the cable trolley and lift their knees up while they are zipping.
  • Participants must have the ability to manage their body without the help of others. Guides will be right beside you the entire tour, but we want to ensure that your tour is comfortable.

+ Can we bring our family dog to the tour?

As much as we adore pups of every color, size and bark volume - we do not allow animals on site. This is for their own safety as well as the comfort of all guests.

+ Why is the tour date and time I want not showing up?

There could be a few different reasons for this. The most likely reasons are either there are no tours available that day OR you have too large of a group for that specific tour as we only accept up to 8 people per tour.

+ If I'm bringing a group of kiddos, do I have to actually GO on the tour or can I watch from the ground?

As long as there is one responsible adult for your group who is willing to be on the actual tour, you are welcome to watch from the ground.

+ Can I bring a baby ziplining?

As entertaining as this sounds, there are absolutely no infants allowed on the zip tour. For many reasons. Feel free to give us a call if you have specific questions about this one!

+ What if i get scared half-way through the tour? Is there a way to get down?

Not a problem at all! If you get scared half-way through the tour and can not continue, we have a system to lower you from any platform. You will never be stuck!
We prefer to prevent anyone from getting to a point that they're so scared, they can not continue though. This means you've stepped too far outside of your comfort zone that you may do emotional harm. We want to make sure everyone is taken care of in their own way and that means we never want anyone to push themselves further than what is healthy. Everyone has different limits and different fears.
